 ASIS Material Issue:

Electronically verifies that the welder is qualified to perform welding using the specified WPS and filler material.

The program evaluates the essential variables of the WPS, evaluates the welder's current qualifications for the particular WPS weld process and determines if the welder is qualified to perform welds using the specified WPS and filler material.

Provides any welding limitations that an approved welder may have for the specified WPS and filler material.

The program determines any weld code limitations that the welder may have for the particular WPS/filler combination, such as limits for:

*

Material thickness;

*

Overlay thickness;

*

Weld deposit thickness;

*

Pipe/tube diameter;

*

Backing;

*

Filler;

*

Position;

*

Vertical progression;

*

Inert backing gas;

*

Visual or remote control;

*

Automatic joint tracking;

*

Etc.

Filler material is issued to authorized welders and tied to the specified weld document and/or work order.

Material issue record print outs contain issue area information, date/time of issue, welder information (including limitations), and issue material information.

Allows material issue records to be edited, tracked, and printed.

Time stamps individual filler issue material for exposure tracking.

 ASIS Material Return:

Time stamps the filler material returned and notifies user of exceeded filler material exposure limits.

If a return door has been established for the filler material, the ASIS door is opened for the returned material.

If the administrative setting has been established to update process use, the welder’s process use (continuity) is updated when material is used.

The completed issue record is printed containing applicable information about the issue.

 ASIS Material Inventory Control:

Provides a means to add, edit, delete, and track weld issue material.

*

Individual material stock numbers, as well as lot and heat numbers, can be tied to the site and ASIS issue control area.

*

Inventory amounts are decremented as material is issued.
